Ascendia Partners Appears at Beijing "Southeast Asia Expansion" Seminar, Partners from Four Countries Share Insights

April 17, 2025, Beijing – Ascendia Partners was invited to attend the "Southeast Asia Expansion" seminar held at the Beijing Daxing International Science and Technology Innovation Center, delivering special presentations on the latest developments and entry strategies for the Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia markets.

The event was organized by the Beijing Digital Economy Enterprise Go Global Innovation Service Base, bringing together numerous forward-thinking enterprises interested in expanding into Southeast Asia. Ascendia Partners deployed partners from four countries, combining local policies and practical experience to provide in-depth insights for attending enterprises.

Singapore Managing Partner Ms. Lyn Tan shared the "Singapore+1" strategy, pointing out that enterprises can leverage Singapore's financial and headquarters advantages, combined with the manufacturing capabilities of neighboring countries, to achieve regional synergy.

Regarding Malaysia, Managing Director Mr. King Lee analyzed the country's core value as an ASEAN logistics hub and introduced cooperation opportunities between China and Malaysia in areas such as the digital economy and green energy.

Thailand Managing Partner Mr. Ace Lu interpreted BOI policy benefits, highlighting opportunities for new energy vehicles and the electronics industry in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), as well as corporate income tax exemptions of up to 15 years.

Indonesia Managing Partner Ms. Sue Jahja systematically explained Indonesia's foreign investment access regulations, company establishment requirements, and tax incentives, helping enterprises avoid common investment risks.

During the Q&A session, the four country partners addressed specific enterprise needs one by one, fostering in-depth exchanges and receiving enthusiastic responses from participants. Attendees noted that the event provided them with a clearer understanding of the investment environments across Southeast Asian countries.
